"I want to express my appreciation to Sealaska Corporation for its latest investment in the future of Juneau. The Skinner property, known as "The Pit," is the site of a future cultural center and home of the Sealaska Heritage Institute. In the meantime, Sealaska's landscaping of the area has converted it into one of the most beautiful spots in downtown Juneau. It is a wonderful example of civic leadership and pride."
